  • Consistency in EI&C planning

AUCOPLAN 7 provides powerful functions for quick and error-free documentation of EI&C plant engineering. Users can work either in the functional or location environment, as required, so are able to freely determine the pace of planning progress.

  • Faster with typicals

The greatest improvement in terms of speed was achieved by introducing automated generation of EI&C loop diagrams based on standardized templates (typicals). After preliminary tabular work, the majority of the documents for measuring points and consumers are generated at the push of a button. All follow-up documents for detailed planning are created using the built-in ELCAD software: it doesn't get any faster than that.

  • Defining wiring in advance

The wiring of distribution boards and cabinets and the placement of trunk cables can be defined in advance and are automatically used on detailed diagrams, such as the loop diagram. Removing the need for manual alignment results in consistent documents.

  • Complete documentation of EI&C engineering

Needless to say, the package of AUCOPLAN features includes other types of documents too, such as loop diagrams, function charts and hook-up diagrams. They all access the objects in the data model, so they are generated fully – or at least partly – automatically.

  • Integration

AUCOPLAN is open for data exchange with other systems. And SmartPDF creates a compact, navigable document of the entire project for presenting to your client.

  • An even more open concept

While AUCOPLAN clearly focuses on EI&C and electrical engineering, Engineering Base covers a much broader spectrum of disciplines. From FEED through process design to the DCS portal, it encompasses a wider scope while also enabling work in larger teams and data exchange via web technologies. As has been demonstrated by a considerable number of customers, the transition from AUCOPLAN to Engineering Base works successfully with largely automated transfer of existing data.
