The Chinese rail vehicle manufacturer China Railway Rolling Stock Corp (CRRC), the former Changchun Railway Vehicles (CNR) works out its electrical engineering using AUCOTEC software. The reason for this was the necessity to distinctly improve the design quality and efficiency and to adapt them to the engineering standards of established international manufacturers. Up to now the circuit diagrams were mostly created with CAD software products, but manual mapping of shapes and symbols means multiple entries and a high error rate. However, this does not meet the requirements of the rapid expansion of the Chinese rail traffic during the past few years.

CRRC is the Chinese market leader. 80,000 miles of rail network, and the company is present everywhere. Standardized planning processes
©CRRCRoughly a dozen engineers was able to realize a first major project in a very short time with the assistance of local engineers of the Chinese AUCOTEC subsidiary AUCOTEC Information Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd: In less than three months, they created the complete electrical design of a high-speed motor coach with almost 2,000 circuit diagrams including the required localization. Most important for CRRC were AUCOTEC's efficient solutions for the cooperation of the design and production departments as well as the creation of standardized processes.
Renowned suppliers convinced
Subsequently many manufacturers and suppliers of the South and North Locomotive Groups could be convinced in favor of AUCOTEC. This includes names such as Nanjing Puzhen Rolling Stock, Sifang Rolling Stock, a Bombardier joint venture company, Zhuzhou Siemens Traction Equipment or Siemens Signal (Xi’an).
